B1/B2 visa approved – mumbai - 05.01.2017

Thanks to IMMIHELP & guys who shared their experiences …..
OFC Appointment: 04-01-2017 @10AM
VISA Interview (VI) Appointment: 05-01-2017 @ 9AM
On 04.01.2017, i reached to OFC around 9.30AM, security people allowed me to get in & completed all formalities of biometric registration within 20min. I almost came out of OFC around 10AM. (The time when my appointment was confirmed …. ).
No plans how to prepare VI, so thought of searching for any sample VI questions, I came across IMMIHELP, where lot of guys shared their experiences. I gone through some of posts related to B1/B2 VISA & got idea how to prepare & appear for VI….
Finally the VI day came on 05.01.2017,
On 05.01.2017, I reached EMBASSY around 8.20AM & security people allowed me follow the queue outside embassy. After 10mins of walk, entered into embassy.
Formal verification of Passport & documents done within 15mins & sent me to wait in one row, where couple of rows occupied by earlier applicants. (Total – 5 rows are there with sitting around 25-30nos). They are sending row by row to VI room. After 20mins of wait, they send my row to VI room.
I saw an American doing bio-metric verification process. After my verification done & sent me to queue for VI counters. I am eagerly watching all how they are doing interviews (VI counters are clearly visible from queue). Bit nervous because observed almost 95% rejections, I cooled myself don’t worry. Counter no.29 assigned for me & finally my turn came.
VO looks 30-35 with current trending beard style… Signaled to come in…
I: Good morning
VO: Good morning & give me passport.
I: Handed over my passport.
VO: Why are u going to US??
I: Answered. TO attend APAC business meeting.
VO: Which place in US?
I: Answered.
VO: Married/Single????
I: Answered.
VO: Going with family???
I: Answered
VO: How long u r staying in US?
I: Answered.
VO: Who sponsoring your trip??
I: Answered.
VO: What is your annual income??
I: Answered.
VO: Did travel out of India anytime??
I: Answered.
VO: OK. I am keeping your passport & your VISA is approved.
I: Thanks a lot….
1. For B1 VISA, i recommends to wear formal instead of casuals.
2. They ask questions from DS160 form only. Read it thoroughly.
3. Don’t be afraid, be confident & honest.
4. Maintain happy face & be smiley.
5. All VOs are well trained by psychologists, they will observe your attitude as & when you come in contact with them (They watch you from where you wait for your turn). So be calm & don’t do un-necessary gestures.
Now my VISA is in hand with 10yrs approval for multiple entries.
